Frequently Asked Questions
Every question your group is about to ask
Couldn't find your answer on the homepage? Here are all the operational questions groups ask us before and during their stag do.
Quote, deposit & payment
What deposit is required to confirm the booking?
A 30% deposit is required when you sign the quote, to lock the dates, accommodation and activity slots. The balance is due no later than 30 days before arrival.
For groups booking very early (4+ months out), we can split the schedule into 2 or 3 instalments to spread the cash flow.
Can we pay in instalments?
Yes. Most groups pay in 2 instalments: 30% on signing, 70% one month before arrival. For larger budgets or stags planned very early, we can split into 3 or 4 monthly payments at no extra cost.
Each member can also pay their share directly to your account if you want to centralise via a group payment app like Splitwise or Revolut.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer (SEPA), credit/debit card (Visa/Mastercard via Stripe), and PayPal for deposits under £500.
Bank transfer remains the smoothest method for groups: no fees, identifiable reference, confirmation within 24 hours.
What happens if a member cancels at the last minute?
If cancellation happens more than 30 days before arrival: their share of the balance is refunded after deducting any already-paid costs (booked activities, unshared room).
Less than 30 days before: tighter. We always try to resell the spot to another member or roll the file onto a future stag. We strongly recommend group travel insurance, especially for groups of 10+.
Is the quote really no-commitment?
Yes. As long as you haven't signed and paid the deposit, the quote is purely informational. We don't share your data, we don't chase you if you say no, and we don't have a sales team calling 5 times a week.
Flights, arrival & passport
Do we need a passport for Budapest or Prague?
Hungary and Czech Republic are in the Schengen zone — but post-Brexit, UK passport holders need a passport (not just an ID card). It must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your return date.
For non-EU/UK travellers in the group, check the Schengen visa 2 months before departure — consular processing can take 4 to 6 weeks.
Do you book the flights for us?
We don't sell flights ourselves to avoid adding an unnecessary margin. But we send a detailed recommendation: best flights, optimised timings for the on-site schedule, alerts when prices climb.
You book directly via the airline, which guarantees the lowest price and direct support if you need to change.
How does the airport-to-accommodation transfer work?
We arrange a private van that meets the group in arrivals with a Last Bad Trip sign. Cost: ~€12-15/person for an 8-seater, ~€9-12/person for a 16-seater.
The classic taxi/Bolt option is also available if you arrive in waves — we send you the local promo codes.
What if we miss our return flight?
24/7 WhatsApp emergency number (Jérémy): he'll find you a backup hotel, help rebook a flight and coordinate with the airline. Included in every package.
We've handled about a dozen of these — usually resolved within 4-6 hours. But buy travel insurance for these scenarios, it's £15-25 per person and it actually pays out.
Accommodation & comfort
What kind of accommodation do you offer?
For groups <8: 4-star central apart-hotels with hotel-grade services (housekeeping, 24/7 reception).
For groups 8-15: large apartments with 3 to 5 bedrooms in the same central building, or hotel suites with shared lounge areas.
For larger groups 16+: a private villa with pool in season, or several adjacent apartments to keep the group dynamic alive.
Can we upgrade to higher-end accommodation?
Yes. We have partnerships with 5-star properties in Budapest (Ritz-Carlton, Aria) and Prague (Augustine, Mandarin Oriental). Add £55 to £105/night/person on top of the standard rate.
For stag dos with several senior managers, we can also propose privatised penthouses with concierge service — on quote.
How many bathrooms for 12 people?
Minimum 3 bathrooms for 12 (1 per 4) — that's our standard, otherwise mornings become the bottleneck. For groups of 15+, we aim for 1 bathroom per 3 people.
If your group cares about comfort (older guys, frequent travellers), flag it in the quote and we'll only shortlist properties that match.
Where is the accommodation located?
Budapest: District 6 (Erzsébetváros) or District 5 (Belváros) — 5 to 15 minutes' walk from the ruin pubs and main bar zone.
Prague: Old Town (Staré Město) or Nové Město — 10 minutes' walk from Wenceslas Square and the main clubs.
On-site activities
Are all activities legal?
Yes. Every activity (shooting range, tank driving, river cruise, shows) is run by licensed and insured operators in Hungary or Czech Republic. We don't propose anything illegal in the UK or in the destination country.
For high-risk activities (shooting, tank), a public liability insurance is included by the operator and every participant signs a standard waiver on arrival.
Can we drink during high-risk activities (shooting, tank)?
No — for insurance and common-sense reasons. Shooting range and tank operators turn away anyone who's been drinking (breathalyser at arrival). Non-negotiable.
We schedule those activities in the morning or early afternoon, and keep the drinking for AFTER. You can drink during the river cruise and beerbike, those are designed for it.
What happens if it rains?
We always have an indoor plan B for every outdoor activity: if the river cruise gets cancelled by weather, we switch to a beer spa or escape room. If the boat tour can't sail, the dinner that was supposed to be onboard moves to a riverside restaurant.
You receive the final schedule 7 days before departure, weather already taken into account.
Can we swap an activity once we're on site?
Yes, with at least 24 hours' notice. Beyond that, some activities (shooting, tank, privatised dinners) are already paid and non-refundable. WhatsApp Jérémy as soon as you're hesitating, he'll do his best.
The groom & surprises
Can we plan surprises for the groom without him knowing?
Yes — we even have a dedicated WhatsApp channel with the organiser where we hide the surprises (costume on arrival, show, custom video). The groom gets a watered-down schedule; the real version stays between you and us.
We've pulled some wild ones: fake police stop, fake airport security check, station kidnapping. If you have an idea, pitch it — we'll cover the legality and execution.
Does the groom have to pay his share?
Traditionally no — the groom doesn't pay, his share is split between the other participants. Make sure to factor this in when calculating the total at quote time.
We can also offer a "groom upgrade" (private room, Michelin-tier dinner, VIP treatment for every activity) as an option, splittable across the group if you really want to mark the occasion.
Support & edge cases
Do we need to bring cash (Hungarian forint, Czech koruna)?
Not strictly necessary. Major bars, restaurants and clubs accept card (often with a £5 minimum). But £25-45 in cash per person is useful for tips (10% at restaurants), taxis and old-school ruin pubs.
Skip the airport currency exchanges, terrible rates. Withdraw at an in-town ATM (HUF/CZK), unbeatable.
Do you accept mixed groups (women included)?
Yes. We regularly organise mixed stag/hen-style trips or combined parties. The schedule adapts: we drop or replace male-only activities (strip clubs) with alternatives the whole group enjoys (rooftop bar, escape room, themed scavenger hunt).
Mention the male/female ratio in the quote and we'll tune the activities accordingly.
